I chose "Red Wheelbarrow"by William Carlos Williams because I feel like this poem speaks to me. Our class found this poem in "Love That Dog" by Sharon Creech and when I first heard it I thought it was confusing but good.
Red Wheelbarrow
By William Carlos Williams
so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens.
I'm glad you picked William Carlos Williams as a mentor poet. I love William Carlos Williams. I enjoy his poems, but I also just like saying his name. I think his name sounds like a little poem.
ReplyDeleteIt a simple but touching poem.
